  • Karen Duncan

    DIRECTOR & CLINICAL LEAD

    As a founding Director of Lilly Pilly Counselling Inc., Karen has grown Lilly Pilly into a trusted provider of high-quality, responsive mental health services, supporting both individuals and organisations through complex and evolving needs. She brings extensive experience in clinical governance, service design, and delivering contracted mental health services across corporate, government, legal, and community sectors. Her work includes oversight of Medicare-funded services, workers compensation programs, and a broad range of organisational partnerships encompassing counselling, supervision, critical incident debriefing, workforce training and tailored client and workplace solutions. 

  • Rebecca May

    OPERATIONS MANAGER

    Rebecca is a senior healthcare operations, quality and change leader with over 25 years’ experience across mental health, AOD, primary care, community health, government and policing.

    Her career has focused on making complex health systems work better — for clients, clinicians, funders and communities.

    She brings together operational leadership, quality and governance systems, and practical, people‑centred change management to deliver sustainable improvements in service access, safety and performance. 

  • Laura Golland

    OFFICE MANAGER

    Laura keeps our service running smoothly day to day. She manages payroll and accounts, coordinates referrals and allocations, and supports our mental health clinicians with reliable admin and operations.

    With strong organisation and attention to detail, she helps connect clients with the right support quickly. Behind the scenes, Laura builds and maintains efficient systems so our team can focus on delivering high‑quality care and meaningful outcomes. 

  • Melissa Ward

    ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT 

    Melissa looks after incoming referrals, works closely with clinicians, and matches clients with the right support so they can access services quickly.

    She keeps the practice running smoothly day to day, manages our Rockdale location, and improves systems and processes so our team can deliver high‑quality, client‑centred care. 

  • Sue Wood

    LEAD GP PLUS SOCIAL WORKER

    Sue leads the CESPHN funded GP Plus program at Lilly Pilly. As a seasoned social worker with more than 30 years’ experience, Sue has navigated complex human services across child protection, homelessness, law enforcement, and NSW Health. Her hospital background includes supporting patients and families through the high-stakes environments of the Emergency Department, ICU, and cardiac units. She is passionate about service coordination and holistic, patient-led care. Grounded in empathy, she excels at listening deeply and guiding individuals to the essential resources and services they need to thrive. 

  • Yvorna Allison

    GP PLUS SOCIAL WORKER

    Yvie is a Social Worker with over five years’ experience supporting individuals and families in healthcare and community settings. She provides compassionate, person-centred care that helps people feel heard, supported, and empowered. Yvie builds genuine connections and tailors support to each person’s needs and goals. She has strong experience working with families and those affected by family violence, focusing on safety and stability. Her approach is empathetic, respectful, and practical, helping clients navigate systems and improve their wellbeing.  

  • Gus Dunworth

    PSYCHOLOGIST

    Gus (he/him) is a registered Psychologist who takes an affirming, strengths-based approach to mental health, supports people to build their capacity for growth and change. Gus has a specific interest in working with transgender, gender diverse and gender exploring individuals, as well as anxiety, emotional regulation, and neurodiversity. He creates a safe, inclusive space and offers flexible, collaborative care tailored to each person’s needs, including NDIS home visits. Gus welcomes PSS, Medicare, Worker’s Compensation, private and NDIS clients and works with children, adolescents, and adults at Rockdale or Bondi Junction.

  • Muaz Sozen

    PSYCHOLOGIST

    Muaz is a registered Psychologist who takes a human-first, culturally responsive approach to care. He creates safe, collaborative spaces where clients feel heard and understood. Using evidence-based therapies such as ACT, CBT, Schema, and somatic approaches, he supports emotional and overall wellbeing. Muaz has strong experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally diverse communities. He brings cultural humility and lived experience to his work and supports clients across the lifespan, welcoming welcomes PSS, Medicare, Worker’s Compensation, private and NDIS clients and at Rockdale or Newtown.
